Brief Description:  Tidying up loose ends with the Engine

Mike S. came by just in time to help out and we performed the Eggenfellner Service Bulletin (dated Feb-2008) for the Grand Rapids EIS Tachometer which corrected the tach reading on the EIS. Also corrected the issue with the inoperative EIS Warning light by changing one of the leads from ground to a positive source. The other lead goes to the EIS and is grounded within the unit to light up the warning light. Mike S. left earlier and came back by and we did some adjustment with the Fuel Pressure Regulator to try to get the engine to smooth out and not run so rich. Ended up setting to 28 PSI, engine off, single pump on. It ran better, but still not quite right. I'm also concerned that we're having to adjust this. Will post to the Subaru forum in the AM to see what's up. In the meantime, we began looking at the Air Filter box assembly and thinking about how to mount (at least temporarily) so that further operation of the engine is with filtered air.
