Brief Description: Whelen Power Supply and ELT testing
Crimped the Molex connectors for the Whelen Strobe power supply. Also connected the Battery plus wire. Finished off this end of the wiring by supporting the wire bundled with Adel clamps and wire tie wraps. Next, installed the Duracell MN1300 batteries in the ELT Unit. Made sure all of the wiring along with the antenna was connected properly. Using a handheld COM radio, tested the ELT using the ON switch on the unit, along with the Remote Test ON switch on the panel. ELT successfully produces the desired alarm on 121.5. Note: According to FAA regulations, this test was performed within the first 5 minutes at the top of the hour. Sweet!
