Lots of work done today. Had to improvise on the latch mechanism for the Map box door as the height was not sufficient to mount the latch outside of the perimeter of the box. So, created a latch that hangs down inside. With the exception of the rivets in the Map box door, it's pretty much done as far as fabrication goes. Next moved onto the heater switch and the 5A fuse for the alternator OVM circuit. Finished up by creating the back strap for the avionics stack which I fastened to the right side panel mount rib. Just had to put the instruments back in to check things out. Decided that for the IPod, it will be hand held or possibly velcro-attached so there won't be any permanent mounts for this. A few minor items left to do for the panel cuts include the ELT Remote switch, and the two 1" volt meters. Outside of that, it is just about time to move on with the wiring. Whoopee!
