Did a little trimming on the Map Box mounting flanges and carefully measured once again to see if the IPod mount will fit. I'm convinced I can make it work in the space available, so I decided to move forward installing the Map Box. Used the template provided to locate the Map Box oriented on it's side, then drilled the mounting holes. Used the nibbler to rough cut the hole, then used the dremel and followed that up with files. Once the panel cutout was to final size, I used a square to locate the cutout required in the sub-panel. This took some time to get right. Next I fabricated the stiffeners and located the holes, then primed and riveted the stiffeners in place to the sub-panel. A bit more work yet to do with the Map Box door.
