Brief Description: Cowl fasteners just outside of spinner ring
Filed and sanded the inside surface of the cowling where they mate just outside of the spinner ring. For the upper cowling, I sanded to 320 grit, then applied 5 coats of wax to the surface. I don't want the glass tab to adhere to the top cowling, but only the bottom cowl. Also, prior to glassing, applied clay to the seam in this area so no epoxy would bond the halves together by dripping into the seam.
A view from inside at the right glass tab. It will form to the top, but not stick with the wax there.
