Brief Description:  Cowl flap fiberglass work

Much more productive day today. After yesterday's fiasco, mixed up small batches of resin followed by cleaning things up (brushes, mixing cups, etc.) in between batches. Also, with this 8 oz cloth, it worked out best to wet-out the surface first, then apply the cloth tamping it down with a brush. The resin "wicked" into the cloth within a few minutes after some brushing and tamping. Subsequent layers were applied the same way to the existing lay-up. Found a solution for firming up the wood base holding the cowl flaps: Using some old 3/16 inch aluminum tubing, I drilled out the wood base and inserted the tubing to provide a grip area for the clecos. Worked great!!!
