Gayle helped with wiring the left wingtip. It took some time to sort out the proper path of the wiring as to not interfere with the reception of the comm signal. Added a bunch of AMP connectors so that each part is serviceable in the future. The method devised to install the wingtip is: a) mate tip to wing and install all screws in the bottom of the tip aft of the main spar. b) carefully pull the upper portion of the tip away from the wing, keeping tip supported, expose about 4 inches of gap - enough for your hand and tools. c) Reach in and plug in the AMP 6-pin connector. d) Insert/tighten an AN3-4A bolt with washer for the two ground wires to the nutplate in the wing labled "GND". e) Attach the two wires for the antenna to the respective posts paying close attention to which one is the GND (one with black shrink-wrap). Mate upper portion of tip to wing, and install remaining screws. Reverse procedure for removal.
