Brief Description: Fitting the Vertical Stabilizer
Much time was spent today getting the VS properly aligned in it's vertical position so that the hingeline (of the rudder) was straight. Also, the leading edge of the VS is properly set when it's a 1/4 inch offset to the left of the fuselage centerline. When this is done, the VS no longer sits flush against the F-712D Up Elevator stop. I chose to modify the stop to contain the proper offset rather than using a washer super-glued as Van's suggested. Once everything was aligned, the holes were drilled through the F12D Up Elevator stop.
