Brief Description:  Prop and miscellaneous prep for W&B

Started out tonight by lengthing (by 3") the slot for the nose wheel in the lower cowling. This will make it easier to take the cowlling on/off. Found out why the Prop controller didn't move the blades. Appears I was too rough with the brush assembly during installation and broke the plastic retaining one of the brushes. Able to repair this, but have another one on order from Quinti, should be here within a few days. In the meantime, Controller now moves blades just fine. Needed to clear paint off the cowling where the keys recess into the aluminum air inlet rings in order to have the cowling halves match up. Installed the cowling. Trimmed the fiberglass on the vanity covers on the Spinner hub. Installed the cowl flaps. Installed the access plates on the bottom side of the wings. Drained the fuel from the wing tanks. Basically, the plane is now ready for the Weight and Balance scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Whew, long night -- at the hanger until 1:00AM.
