Had a long day today. Finished up the muffler hanger mount. Lee came by and we worked on getting the plane ready to start with the propeller. Lee did various safety checks while I installed the pilot seat and added five gallons of 100LL to each tank. No leaks! Pushed the plane outside and started it up. It ran just fine; however, got some vibration at around 1500 prop rpm. Will have the prop balanced soon. Pushed it back inside, and installed the co-pilot seat. Then removed them both to finish up tie-wrapping the wires in the channel. Added nut-plates to the F401K end caps, then riveted them in place. Next will be to install the remainder of the upholstery and get the plane ready for weighing.
Here is video #1, and video #2, and video #3 of the engine start with propeller on YouTube. Very tired after a long day, but what a cool thing to do on Father's Day! Thanks for the push Lee!
