Brief Description:  UHMW guide for rudder cable

There have been reports that the rudder cable turn-buckle on the left side comes in contact with the snap bushing in the rib just aft of the rudder pedals. That was the case on this airplane too. About a inch before full right rudder hits the stop, the turn-buckle hits the snap bushing. As others have done, I chose to use UHMW to build a guide for the cable so the turn-buckle enters hole in the rib centered, rather than at one edge. Also found a need to enlarge the hole to 3/4" and remove the snap bushing. Instead, I installed some edge grommet material just to keep the cable from coming in contact with the edge of the hole. It doesn't get that far normally, but just wanted to be safe. Work that needed to be done before taxi and flight, but it was not a fun job at all. Almost 100 F degrees today and constantly in uncomfortable work positions. Glad it's over with!
