Brief Description:  Cowl flap fiberglass work

I had a tough day today. Started out trying to apply the fiberglass to the cowl flaps. First thing I did wrong was mix up too much resin/hardener (kicked-off way to fast due to the heat buildup). Second thing was trying to work with too many pieces of cloth at once. Big mistake. I ended up pulling the glass off of the piece then using thinner to clean things up. Very frustrating, but I learned alot in the process. I switched gears and moved on by applying 2 of the 3 layers of 8 oz cloth to one of the cowl flaps (right side). Also found that the cowl flap pulled away from the wood stand-offs when I applied even just a bit of pressure -- need to build a better mouse-trap, so-to-speak... Pictures tomorrow.
