Brief Description:  Cowl Flap planning

Planned out the location of the cowl flaps on the bottom left and right of the James Cowling. The center exhaust exit area of the James cowling is not exactly centered. I want to end up with two symetrical cowl flaps thinking that if one was wider than the other, it would act as a larger air deflecting surface and may cause some slight yaw or roll when they are deployed. The largest area I could create equally on each side was and opening of 8 1/2 inches wide at the exit by 12 inches long, tapering to 5 1/2 inches at the hinge attach point (a bit smaller than originally thought). Marked out the cut line for the flaps on the cowling, and also located the rough location of the where the actuator arms would attach to the cowl flaps. This in preparation for fabricating the actuator arm assembly from the 4130 steel tubing and steel flat bar. Pictures later.
