Using 150 grit paper, carefully took the fiberglass down to the top layer of tape. Then removed this layer of electrical tape and sanded to the final layer. Cleaned everything up then mixed up a batch of slightly thickened epoxy. Used this to apply a layer over the glass to fill in low spots and minor surface inperfections. After several hours, this finishing layer was hard enough to sand. Completed 90 percent of the sanding. Should be able to finish this up in the morning rather quickly (pictures of this tomorrow).
