Brief Description:  Canopy Frame

Started the day by riveting the C-614 splice plate and the hinge angles on the Canopy frame. Now that the Canopy frame is rigid on the hinge line, I installed the F-771 forward skin, and the C-702 Canopy skin. Then, I secured the Canopy frame in it's proper location with both skin edges even, and .032 spacing between them. I then used a body clamp from underneath to clamp the hinges to the F-745 ribs. Next, I removed the F-771 forward skin to gain access for drilling. I then match drilled the hinges to C-618 and F-745. Dis-assembled everything and match-drilled C-618 and C-617 in the drill press. C-619 was then fabricated and drilled. Assembled all of the components again, including the F-771 forward skin (sides left open for drill access) and with the F-644's clecoed to the top skin, match drilled through each F-644 one hole at a time. Once again dis-assembled all, and drilled the hinges to 3/8" in the drill press. Then pressed in the bushing to each hinge, and re-assembled everything to check for fit.
