Began work on the Wd-716 Canopy frame. Most of the day was spent deburring and prepping the welded frame. Drilled #40 the C-702 skin to the aft tube. Began test fitting the Canopy frame to the fuselage. Came up with a simple method using a ratcheting nylon strap around the Canopy frame assembly and the fuselage. Not pulled too tight, but enough to secure everything. This allows me to use my alternate approach for fitting the hinge assembly (see entry for 9/7). Ended the day by using the drill press to drill the 1/4" holes in the hinge tabs on the Canopy frame. No pictures today.
