Brief Description:  Fresh Air Vents

Finished working on the F-721D attach angle on the left side. Then spent quite a bit of time working out how to mount the SV-2 Adapter and the SV-5 Ventilator. Both components required that one corner of their square mount plate be rounded off in order to fit between the panel edge and the fuselage skin (bracket). They turned out just fine, and don't look as bad as I thought they might. I had contemplated going with the nice aluminum ones, but I just can't bring myself to pay the price at this time (I may later on...). There is still a bit of work to do on the SV-2 and SV-5 to seal them up nicely so there's no seepage of air when closed. Spent a bit of time studying the plans for the Cabin Frame assembly. Drilled the UHMW C-617 and C-618 blocks that will provide support for the hinge assembly of the Cabin Frame to the Upper fuselage. I reviewed the plans and documentation and felt there was too much room for error in this critical structure. I called Van's to discuss and came away with a different approach that was more involved, but less error prone. Basically the plan now is to: a) Come up with a way to securely fit the Cabin frame to the Upper fuse in it's correct position; b) Use a Drill Press to drill the 1/4 inch holes in the Cabin frame hinge 3/8" from tip, and centered width-wise; c) Using method arrived at in step "a" above, secure components, then from underneath, match drill hinge to C-618 and F-745; d) Match drill C-618 and C-617 in the drill press and frabricate/drill C-619; e) Assemble components, including forward top skin and F-644, and one hole at a time, match drill through F-644.
