Began fabrication of the mounts for the fuel pumps. Purchased a set of four vibration mounts (Napa part number 735-7283) to isolate the pumps. I plan to run wiring (in conduits), and hard lines underneath the fuel pump mount hardware attached with Adel clamps. This is the reason for the height of the mount off the floor. Before I could fix things in place, I needed to locate the heater on the firewall so that there would not be any interference with these systems. So, I spent several hours working on the mounting hardware and holes through the firewall for the heater. I'm using .063 3/4 angle for the heater mounts, and I tied these to the vertical firewall structure for rigidity. I did check (prior to fixing the position) and the heater vent hose does make the 90 degree bend to clear the (underneath side of the) rudder pedals. Quite a lot of work in these systems, and it's all free-form fabrication. The productivity slows down when this occurs.
