Mike S stopped by this evening and we made fast work of riveting the TruTrak Elevator Servo mount and bolting the Main Gear mounts in place. It was good to have his help for those jobs. I spent a few more hours mounting the Main and Engine battery contactors in place as well as fabricating the brass strip that ties the two together. I used a 3/4" piece of heat shrink between the bolt holes, and also installed rubber boots over the fastener nuts. The bolts that fasten the contactors have a nylon washer over a standard washer and a nyloc nut on the bottom side. I tested getting at these from the inside of the cabin. If the batteries are removed and tape is used to hold the nut to a box wrench -- it's do-able. Probably the first time I have to replace one of these I will be installing a nutplate with philips head screws.
