Drilled out four rivets from the F-729A Bellcrank rib and F-729B angle to attach the mounting bracket for the TruTrak pitch servo. A bit of an awkward angle to drill out the rivets so my son Sean helped me keep the drill straight as I laid in the fuselage while drilling. Once drilled out, I located the forward edge of the bracket 2.80 inches from the center of the F-635 Elevator Bellcrank. I then drilled four holes through the bottom of the bracket through the F-778 Aft bottom skin. Using the pop rivet dimpler, I dimpled the skin then dimpled the mounting bracket to match. Afterwards, I modified the battery tray mount to clear the pitch servo mount bracket. Hopefully tomorrow I can get this stull primed and begin riveting as the fabrication is almost complete.
TruTrak pitch servo mount clecoed in place
Battery Tray modified to clear pitch servo mount (OK, I could have used fewer rivets on the new angle)
