Mike S. stopped by tonight and we spent an hour or so discussing the Bob Nuckolls Z-19RB (rear battery) architecture for an: All electric, single alternator, dual aft-mounted batteries. We studied the architecture drawing and generally planned things out. He had to leave early, but I did manage to begin construction of the battery mounting box. The manner of mounting will be a combination of how Tom Moore (http://cddevelopment.com/tcm/aftbatt.htm) mounted his batteries aft in his RV-7A, and how Larry McFarland mounted his batteries and contactors aft when he built his Zodiac 601 HDS (http://www.macsmachine.com/).
