Brief Description:  Rivet Rudder trailing edge

Mike S. and I finally got to setting the rivets in the Rudder trailing edge. First we secured the trailing edge in a neutral upright position while clamped between two lengths of aluminum straight edge angle stock. The rivets were then set in two passes with the hand rivet tool. The first pass set the rivet with the straight rivet set to about half way where the shop head was just about even with the high spot of the dimple. Then we used the modified angle rivet set and completed compression of the rivets until fully set. The shop head set nicely into the dimple, and the machine head is smooth. The trailing edge is straight, and there are no marks or blemishes. Very satisfied with the results. That wasn't so hard... ;-) On to bending of the leading edge to finish off the Rudder...
