Brief Description: Fabricate Rudder trailing edge rivet set
Mike S. and I fabricated a rivet set for the Rudder trailing edge. The process we intend to use will be to set the rivets partially just so the shop head is level with the high side of the dimpled hole, then change to this new rivet set that matches the angle of the trailing edge then finish setting the rivet. There is still setup to hold the rudder in a neutral position with the trailing edge pointing up as well as clamping the trailing edge with 2 long opposing pieces of aluminum angle to keep the trailing edge perfectly straight. More preparation and pictures to come. (Note: 1.5 hours to fabricate and finish new rivet set.)
