I was able to arrange a meeting with our local EAA Technical Counselor, James Critchfield. He was kind enough to meet me at the EAA Chapter building on a very cold, snow day. I brought the Vertical Stabilizer to him for his review. He shared his experiences of building airplanes and I enjoyed the opportunity to gain insight from such an experienced aviation enthusiast. He provided a thumbs-up on the work done so far, and even described the work on the Vertical Stabilizer as "Well Done, Good Craftsmanship". ...A very good day indeed. And one sorely needed after the events of the day before!
