Brief Description:  Assemble front HS spar and begin riveting left HS

Very productive day today. Started out by riveting the HS-710 and HS-714 re-inforcements to the front spar, then attaching the left and right HS-404 and HS-405 ribs. Used the back-riveting set for the first time on the flush rivets on the HS Front spar. Very pleased with the results. I am convinced that if you can use the back-riveting set on a flat surface, that's the way to go. Next came riveting the HS-707 rib to the left HS skin. That was my first experience using the flush rivet set on the exterior skin. I was just a bit nervous, but took my time and it came our very nice -- if I don't mind saying so myself! Now that I have the hang of things, the rivets just started flying. At this point, the following have been done: Left HS-707 rib riveted to skin top and bottom, Left HS-702 riveted on top side to skin and HS-706 end rib, HS-708 rib blind-riveted to the HS-702 spar and HS-707 rib and to the skin on top. The Napa #7220 primer is amazingly tough once it dries. Using the flush rivet set directly on the surface does not get through to the metal underneath. Very impressed. I'm wore out -- gotta take a break!
