Brief Description: Fit fin, gussets and leading edge
Finished buffing andsmoothing the fin skin. Dimpled all rivet holes in skin and fin frame. Fitted fin to aircraft.
Fitted gussets and drilled out 3/32" hole, then 1/8". Fitted leading edge and drilled out holes through the leading edge and gusset skins.
Removed leading edge and gussets and prepared leading edge and starboard gusset to paint. Port gusset requires soaking in kerosene to remove protective coating.
