Today, I disassembled the right auxillary tank and prepped the splice strip and ribs. The splice strip gets a whole mess of nutplates installed. It ties the skin of the main fuel tank to the skin of the auxillary tank. Then all the parts had to be dimpled, scuffed and cleaned in order to be ready for final assembly with ProSeal (the black sticky stuff that seals the tanks up). Lots of tedious work, but it's exciting to be getting ready to assemble the right auxillary tank for the last time.
