Brief Description:  Layout R Aux Access Hatch and Cut

Today, I did layout and cutting of the access panel hatch that will reside between the right main tank and the right auxillary tank. Vans calls for a hatch in this area and even provides the doubler and cover for the hatch with the wing kit. However, the Vans hatch, when completed using these parts, is only about a 4-5 inch square. This is barely big enough to get your my hand inside, let alone tools. It's probably adequate for accessing Van's stall switch, which is the main reason the hatch is called for in the first place, but I needed a bit more access. Inside this space will reside a small Facet fuel transfer pump and several plumbing lines, so I enlarged the hatch to be 6" x 6" when completed. This should allow me adequate access to torque and un-torque lines inside if required.
