Brief Description: Installing Fuel Tank Attach Nutplates
After attending a 4th of July BBQ with friends, and having one of the best steaks of my life (slow smoked filet mignon), I was able to grab an hour to work on the plane. I match-drilled and riveted the nutplates which will hold the main fuel tanks to the wing spars. The bottom and top-most rivets are tricky because they are located right next to the thick parts of the spar; too close to get a mushroom rivet set to work. I ended up using my back-riveting attachment very carefully so as not to scrap the anodized wing spars.
