Brief Description:  Back-riveting the Rudder Skin

Tonight, Aneta and I worked on back-riveting the rudder stiffeners to the rudder skin. We didn't get a back-riveting plate with our tool kit, but it did include a back-riveting set for the rivet gun. Go figure... Luckily for me, I was able to borrow a plate from my friend Bryan, whose building an RV-8. Thanks Bryan! Once we had the plate, back-riveting was a cinch. I highly recommend covering the back-riveting plate with tape, because this prevented the skin from getting all scratched up during riveting. Later, when the plane is painted, the skin will have to be scuffed up anyway to hold the primer. However, for now, it's nice to be able to see reflections in the aluminum. ;)
