Brief Description:  Fabricating the Pushrod

Tonight, with the help of Selma, I fabricated the elevator push rod. This is a long aluminum tube that will be used to control the pitch of the elevators in flight (up/down for you lay people). As you can imagine, the pushrod is a very important peice of hardware. It also is the first bit of aluminum that I have primered on the airplane. I applied primer to the inside of the tube, because it gets completely closed up during fabrication, and because the instructions specifically call for it.
