Tonight, I used the wooden jig I made and the bending angles to bend the right center side skin into a curve at the back, where it will later meet up with the tailcone skin. I must tell you, it was really a challenge to bend that skin using this method. If one has the means to use a skin roller in a machine shop, I'd recommend doing that. One minor snafu: the instructions for making the bending angles never specified what thickness of 3/4" angles to use. The kit comes with 1/8 thick and 1/16" thick 3/4" angles. I chose wrongly and used the 1/16" thick. Well, while I was grunting and sweating to make the bend in the left skin, the angles got a little bent up. Since I will have to use these to make future bends in the fuse skins, it looks like I'll have to re-make them using 1/8" thick 3/4" angles.
