Brief Description: Left Wingtip Rivet Support Rib In
Each wiingtip requires an aluminum rib to help support the floppy rear portion of the tip, making sure it alligns with the aillerons and flaps too. Today, I fitted them to work within the space left by the hinges. I also incorporated a hinge pin stay into this support rib, to prevent the pins from moving once they are installed in the tip.
The day was made special because I got a visit from my wife, son and daughter, who came to help out too. My daughter, Amelia, asked me today (for the first time ever) " when will it be finished so we can fly it, daddy?" She then proceed to "help" by putting rivets into the free holes in the tailcone (loose of course). What a milestone! :)
