Brief Description: Bought an RV-3B kit!

Today, I came upon a deal that was too good to pass up. A gentleman in Missouri, who is a repeat builder working on his 3rd RV, lost his medical and decided to sell his partially completed RV-3B kit. This kit is about 2 1/2 years old, which is very new for a 3 kit. The price and the workmanship are both great. Knowing that very few RV-3 projects are being built these days, I jumped at the chance and gave the guy a deposit to hold it for me until I can come and get it. My thought is, when I'm done with both projects, I'll have, in my opinion, the two best planes Vans ever designed, for their individual missions. The sexy, aerobatic, gas-sipping, single and the comfy, heavy-hauling, cross-country cruiser!
My wife, Aneta, is a real trooper. When I told her I'd bought another plane project for our garage, she simply said, "Well, YOUR Christmas gift is taken care of!" What a gal.. She even offered to move her car out fo the garage to make space for the new orphan. I am extremely excited to see it in person, load it up and bring it back to Colorado!
I will be adding a second project to the website for the RV-3, so that I can log my build seperately from the 10. Time to clean up the shop for its arrival.
