Brief Description: Setup of the Left Aft Wing for Riveting
Tonight, I put the left aft wing skeleton back on the tables. It's very important to make sure the skeleton is completely straight while match-drilling the top skins (the first ones installed), but it is equally important to make sure it is straight when riveting those skins in place. Once the top skins are riveted, the wing skeleton is "locked" and any twists will surely remain. I spent considerable time (again) levelling and checking to make sure all was well before moving on. Then I assembled the dimpled skins in place. The riveting will have to wait until I get back from vacation. Aneta, Amelia and I are headed to Eastern Europe to visit family and friends for 3 weeks. It will be Amelia's first time on an airplane! I hope she doesn't cry the whole way.
