Brief Description: Trimming/Deburring Ribs & Organizing Parts
Today I trimmed and then deburred all of the horizontal stabilizer ribs. This included putting a hole in two of the nose ribs, which will later be used to route cables through them. After making a mess with the bandsaw, sander and scotchbrite wheel (fabbing the ribs), I figured it was time to clean up the shop. I also did this so I'd have a place to store the Horizontal Stabilizer when it's completed. The top of the shelves would work well for that. I used four 2x4s I was storing to turn it into one big shelf. Voila! A space for the Horizontal Stab.
