Brief Description:  Tool Training for Ladi

Today, my friend Ladi stopped by to visit. He is considering building an RV also, but had some concerns about his skills. I figured, what better way to boost his confidence than to have him do a couple test plates! He started by match-drilling the plates together and deburring all the holes and edges using the bench grinder and hole debur tools. Then we set up the dimpler so he could try out the DRDT2. Afer dimpling the holes, he riveted them together using all kinds of rivets and all the various methods of riveting. He used the back-riveting technique, the pneumatic squeezer, the hand squeezer and the pneumatic pop rivet gun. When it was all over, I think he had used just about every tool in the box. Next time he'll be bucking rivets on the actual plane. Good job, Ladi!
