Brief Description:  Countersinking the Trailing Edge

Tonight I used a countersink to prepare the trailing edge to receive the dimples of the rudder skin. You have to be very careful after countersinking one side that, when you do the second side, you don't enlarge the holes too much. Because the trailing edge wedge is triangular, the countersinks meet at one edge (the thin edge) while drilling. If you push a little too hard, that thin surface will easily be drilled too deep, enlarging the hole in the process. Luckily, I noticed this tendancy early on and made sure to "baby" the drill when getting close to the point of the bit walking on me, It took a while, but I am happy with how it came out.
