Brief Description:  Engine parameters

Went for flight #3 today (0.5 hrs).

Engine behavior was basically the same as yesterday, but at one point one CHT (#3?) spiked at 410. I throttled back a bit and pushed the nose down. It cleared itself pretty quickly but I babied the engine after that. 2,500 RPM most of the time. Occasionally 2,300. I can't get to WOT without getting high CHT/EGT. After about 20 minutes I was seeing the OP get down to 36. OT was about 180 at that point. I kept the CHTs under 400 and EGTs under 1400.

The OP is the only thing that really concerns me. The rest I can manage with airspeed, throttle and mixture. Not sure what can be done about low OP. Taxiing back the OP was at 25.

Here is what Sonex said about the low OP:

That's a little lower than some of them run, but if it maintains that
throughout the entire RPM range (other than idle) it will be fine. It could
be the sender, which we've found to be a bit variable. You might want to
tap in a mechanical gauge sometime just to verify your readings. But if it
stays steady you should be in good shape.
