Brief Description:  Cowl air deflector

Worked on the air deflector for the AeroVee exhaust. It's in the exhaust document, not on the cowl drawings.

I made a posterboard pattern first, then transferred it to 0.025 aluminum. After bending it I found it too flimsy and wavy, so I scrapped it and did it over again, but this time out of 0.032 aluminum. Much better.

Then pilot drilled the deflector, duct taped it in place and pilot drilled through the cowl. Updrilled and that's where I'm at.

The cowl fiberglass needs to be finished (filled and sanded) before I rivet the deflector, otherwise it will get all scraped up.
