Brief Description:  Reforming nose

Using a flat and curved rasp, I cut down the SuperFil (blue) to the new shape of the nose. Then I sanded to feather the edges and smooth things out. Next I plan to cover all the SuperFil with glass and resin, with peel ply to make it smooth. It really looks pretty good!

In photo 2 you can see the back side of the nose, with the major offset (to the rear) that now has to be filled. I filled the void with several layers of glass mat, and then a first layer of glass and resin. When it's wet it looks transparent, so I didn't take a photo. It needs another couple of layers of glass to finish.

Started to rivet the hinge on the first gear leg fairing, but realized I'm OUT of CCP-42 rivets!!
