- Put the othe hinge half in place on the lower cowl's hinge half, and put the upper cowl in place with duct tape.
- As in photo 1, used the backlight method to locate the holes in the cowl with the holes in the hinge half. Jut 3 holes with clecos and then...
- I got smart this time and took the whole left cowl off to drill the rest of the holes (photo 2).
- After updrilling and deburring, I riveted that final hinge half in place.
Photo 3 shows the end result. The left cowls came out much better than the right. Experience! I now want to locate the holes in the cowl to fasten to the already-installed floating nut plates along the front edge of the windscreen. That will show me what needs to be trimmed where the two upper cowls come together.
