Brief Description:  Begin LEFT cowl

Started on the LEFT cowl tonight. As is often the case with cowls, at first the alignment looked hopeless. But after much head scratching and manhandling of the cowl, it now looks like it's going to work out even better than the right cowl.

- Started by cutting the hole for the gear leg, using rough measurements from the right cowl/leg as a guide. Only had to tweak it twice to get it right.

- The nose of the cowl at the prop hub wasn't lining up at all with the right cowl, so that caused some concern for a while.

- With the help of some duct tape I got the cowl into a position where the nose made sense.

- Now I drilled a pilot hole through the prob hub spacer into the cowl nose in 2 places.

- Some final pushing and pulling and duct taping and the cowl really laid out well. In fact, unliked the right cowl, the only area that needs cutting is the overlap (photo 3) of the top of the left cowl where it meets the right.
