Brief Description:  Smoke tank vent

Made the vent for the smoke oil tank. I used a metal coat hanger to figure all the bends and lengths, and then bent the vent tube to match (photos 1 & 2). In photo 1 the thing in the middle is the spring pipe bending tool.

Make sure you put the flare fittings on the tube BEFORE you make the flare. Also, the -819 collar fits tightly around the tube, so it will not slide around bends in the tube. So you have to put the collar on before you make anything other than a very minor bend. Ask me how I know!

Photo 3 shows the vent tube secured to the top of the smoke oil tank.
