Brief Description:  FIRST SUCCESSFUL ENGINE START!

I got the airplane into the back yard today with the help of Howard Linker and Al Lavender. It started up on the first try with no hesitations and ran great. This is the engine I built from a kit, so it's never been run before.

A few things to work out:
1. The #4 EGT was only reading ambient temperature. The wires were all hooked up, so I'll have to look into that.
2. The RPMs were reading double what they should. I think the MGL Xtreme has a setting to change the number of pulses that are counted to come up with 1 RPM.
3. The engine almost stopped when I turned off the secondary ignition (coils).

After running it we put the wings on so I can spend time trimming and installing the wing root doublers, and making sure all the controls will link up. See the next page.
