Photo 2 shows the engine block halves opened for cleaing. There were aluminum flashings inside that I took out with a small file. Then I blew out the cases with compressed air, cleaned with mineral spirits, then blew out the cases again.
Photo 2 shows the block mated together temporarily, and the beginning of taping up all the mating surfaces, holes and studs, in preparation for painting.
I got the prop hub preinstalled from Sonex.
