Brief Description:
Wing Rigging #1
A day I was both looking forward to, and dreading! Wing rigging!
As you look at this 6 hour process, Keith pointed out one thing to remember... ALL OF THIS IS JUST TO DRILL 6 HOLES!!!
Keith Macht, who had already rigged his wings, and Dave Plate, a flying buddy of mine, came over to help. My basement is a walk-out into the garage.
On this page:
- Move fuselage out of basement, through 6' wide door (required angling horizontal tail to get through the door).
- Then rotated fuselage in the garage to allow room for both wings to be installed, placing the fuselage back on saw horses.
- Inserted both wings into the fuselage, being careful to support each wing with a saw horse so the fuselage would not tip over!
