I did a little more trimming of the bottoms of the rear bow.
Then I located the horizontal brace by simply putting a short bubble level on top of it, and moving it into place (with the rear bow in place on the fuselage). With each end just touching the bow I marked the centerlines on the bow.
Then I took everything to the workbench and taped the aluminum down flat (photo 1). I then put a gusset on the assembly and marked the hole locations with a Sharpie (photo 1).
I drilled the first few holes so I could put clecos in (photo 2), then I put the whole assembly up on the fuselage to verify once again, before drilling the rest of the holes.
After checking, I updrilled all the holes, deburred, reassembled, and riveted. The end result is photo 3.
I drilled pilot holes in the front face of the bow to attach the steel corner brackets. I'll do tha work tomorrow.
