Brief Description:  Windscreen - Drill and tap

- As part of the work to turn my 3' door into a 6' door (so I can get the airplane out!), I had to move the electric switches from the right side of the door (black box) to the left (blue box). Sounds easy, but there were j-box splices to make, studs to drill through, rerouting of wires, and the final connections. All total, about 4 hours of work. No, I don't count that in my building log. It's not part of the actual build, Personal preference.

- Up-drilled the bow. Unfortunately, in soft aluminum the up-drill doesn't always follow the pilot hole. Two of the holes went off center and wallowed. So I decided to fill with JB Weld. I'll sand, clean out the holes, then continue the tapping process.

- Updrilled the two end holes in the bow, where the bolts go through to hold the bow to the fuselage.

- Tapped the first hole with an 8-32 tap, per the plans.

- Updrilled the holes in the windscreen, then used the deburring tool to countersink them.
