These photos show the tool I made (copied from another builder's web site) to drill the holes in the bow and bow strap nicely centered.
- Photo #1: the 3 parts. The center part is set so the bow strap will bump it at the correct depth relative to the bow.
- Photo #2: with a piece of the bow as a reference, you can see that after riveting the tool together, and putting a hole at the center point of the bow, I can now drill through the bow strap (the piece coming from the left) and into the bow.
